White Paper Series Committee

The NGP white paper series committee is a working group of the NGP that focuses on identifying emerging current topics in the grants management field and guiding the preparation of thought provoking analysis and recommendations addressing them. The group completed its first paper, entitled Accelerating Grants Streamlining: Furthering the Recommendations of the GAO Grants Streamlining Report (http://www.thengp.org/documents/NGP_White_Paper_01.pdf). This paper, a collaborative effort by grant administrators and systems specialists from key government contractors, was written in response to the Government Accountability Office’s review of the Federal Financial Assistance Management Improvement Act of 1999 (Public Law 106-107). The recommendations highlighted in it respond to the April, 2005 report “Grants Management: Additional Actions Needed to Streamline and Simplify Processes” (http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d05335.pdf). If you would like to participate on the WPSC, and volunteer your time, energy, and expertise to the development of future NGP white paper products, please notify the co-chairs of the Committee.
